Factory code, the power-up method, and the *98 lockout, from the Resideo programming guide. This is the documented programming entry, not a bypass.
Programming guide for microprocessor version 9.1 and later. Change the installer code at commissioning.
Try the factory installer code first. At an alpha keypad, enter 4112 then 8 0 0. Field *20 ships as 4112. If the display shows programming, you are in.
If the code was changed, remove both AC and the battery so the panel powers down. Restore power, then press * and # together within 50 seconds. Pressing them one after the other does not count. Pulling only the AC leaves the battery holding the panel up, so the 50 second window never starts.
That power-up entry is also the way back in after *98. *99 exits and still allows code + 800 next time. *98 exits and blocks code + 800.
In programming, *20 then four new digits changes the installer code. *97 sets data fields back to the factory programming-guide defaults.
Field *88 can block keypad entry. If the previous installer set that option, the programming guide says entry is by the installer code or the downloader, not by another keypad sequence. Contact the installing company or the owner of record.
